Phil has 19 years of experience in the employee benefit and specialty group creditor sectors of the industry which includes positions of Account Executive, Group Manager & National Sales Manager. In addition, his background includes 8 years in the financial services industry as a Lender and Finance Manager. This unique combination of experience together with his problem solving skills and commitment to responsible service ensures our clients always receive timely and expert employee benefit consulting and related financial services advice.

Jeremy Orser BSc, MBA, RHU
Insurance and Financial Consultant
Jeremy Orser comes to us as an independent advisor. He completed his MBA at Dalhousie University. A focus in finance and strategy during his post graduate studies has allowed Jeremy to be a quick study on corporate taxation and insurance strategies. Jeremy's listen first approach has allowed him to form strong relationships and develop meaningful strategies to help his clients. A keen interest in living benefits throughout his career led Jeremy to earn his Registered Health Underwriter accreditation in 2008. He is currently working towards his CFP and CLU designations.

Shone came to us after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree with a major in Finance and Business Law & Economics. As a licensed professional her prior degree in financial and accounting support roles makes her a valuable asset to the firm. Shone's abilities, experience, and knowledge are selected for how they complement a particular individual, foundation project, or the organization as a whole. Shone is a professional financial advisor specializing in living benefits, including income replacement and risk management solutions for individuals, business owners and professionals.

Rosie Hernandez
Financial Services Administrator
Rosie left behind a career with an international retail giant and tenure in the Oil and Gas Industry. HFI relies on Rosie's computer accredations and experience to enhance differentiated presentations and visuals. Rosie is a professional with graphic design who assembles together images, typography or motion graphics. Rosie creates the graphics for published, printed or electronic media, such as brochures and advertising. Rosie is responsible for illustrations, user interfaces, and web design. Rosie prides herself to present information in a way that is both accessible and memorable. A receptionist may also assume some security guard access control functions for an organization by verifying employee identification, issuing visitor passes, and by observing and reporting any unusual or suspicious persons or activities.

Kristina Olineck, B.Sc.

Kristina spent 7 years in private enterprise an as an accredited Analyst through CFIA. Her managing supervisory roles and warm persona found her quickly working with human relations personal and plan administrators looking after thousands of participants in our Employee Benefits Division, HFI Benefits Inc.

Vaughn Cappis
Accounting Manager
Vaughn brings a wealth of experince to the HFI Financial Group of Companies. 16 years with the government molded rock solid accountable expertise heavily realied upon by management. Vaughn is responsible for the process of identification, measurement, accumulation, analysis, preparation, interpretation and communication of information to plan, evaluate and control our companies to assure appropriate use of accountability for its resources. Vaughn also comprises the preparation of financial reports for management groups such as shareholders, creditors, regulatory agencies and tax authorities.
